FredCDobbs
I like the way THE SEARCHERS ended. Ethan tracked down and found Debbie. Marty went into the village and rescued Debbie and killed Chief Scar, and Ethan took Debbie back home. A great movie.
lavenderblue19
I love the ending in *Light In the Piazza* . Olivia saves her daughter(Yvette Mimieux) from the meaningless life that her father (Batty Sullivan) had planned for her. She upts the annty for the dowry to ensure that Yvette and George marry. You know that George's family will take good care of her and their future children.Olivia stands up to her husband once and for all. Besides, there's always the possibility of some hanky panky between Olivia and Rossano! Very feel good ending!

BlueVertigo
Vertigo - The final, crushing image of James Stewart on the tower Casablanca - do I even have to explain? Double Indemnity - "I love you too" and the bit with the lighting of Neff's cigarette. The Apartment - "Shut up and deal."

roverrocks
Ditto for "The Natural" having one of the all-time great endings. Gives me goosebumps and chills every time I watch the cosmic last AB: heart stopping broken bat, foul balls, blood on the uniform, and finale slow motion HR for the ages like Bobby Thompson's miracle six decades ago and then playing catch with Hobb's son while the strength of the eternal Mother watches over them. Pure cinema magic that makes one feel good. Edited by: roverrocks on May 23, 2013 10:08 AM
DownGoesFrazier
The idea for THE NATURAL came from the real-life shooting of major league first baseman Eddie Waitkus in the late '40s by a crazed female fan.

skimpole
JakeHoman isn't the point of The Green Berets is that it shows so little interest in the actual country of Vietnam that it ends with the sun setting in the East?
