allycat1920
Wow, I seem to have the best luck when it comes to the movies I want being put out on DVD. Bringing Up Baby, the rest of the Thin Man series, and A Letter Three Wives were all movies I was really hoping to see put out on DVD and then with in a month or so of when I was thinking about how much I wanted them on DVD I read somewhere that the will be released soon. Now I can add this to my list, because I was thinking just the other day that I wanted to see more Ginger Rogers and Fred Astairer movies on DVD. I am really happy to read that a whole box set is coming out.
moviejoe79
WOW edg, this is great news! I've been waiting for a release date for this set for awhile now! And what great extras. It seems that Warners is putting at least one short and one cartoon on every one of their releases now. I also noticed them on each one of the "Gangster" releases. They're really doing a great job. Boy, I can't wait to watch "Swing Time," "Shall We Dance," and "Top Hat" again. My three favorites from the pair. And it was nice to see "Swing Time" selected as an "Essential" last week. It's more than deserving, since at least ONE of the Astaire-Rogers movies should be considered "Essential."
edgedrv
Neglected to mention the Astaire-Rogers Signature Collection is Volume 1. I believe Volume 2 will be released sometime in 2006 with 5 more of A&R films.
