"Gene Tierney: A Biography" sold out its first two print runs in two weeks. It's currently available on sale at www.bn.com for $13 off the cover price. A good deal. With a foreword by her daughter, Christina Cassini, it's the first family authorized book since Tierney's death. "Children of Hollywood" has many candid stories and photos of what it was like to grow up as the child, or in some cases, the grandchild of such famous names as, Tyrone Power, The Marx Bros., Eddie Cantor, Harold Lloyd, Harry Langdon, John Gilbert, Boris Karloff, Jerry Lewis, Bing Crosby, Abbott and Costello, etc...each child has a chapter of their own and the photos come directly from the family albums of the star children. Many have never been published, until now. Incidentally, GLOBE magazine, available at all supermarkets each Thursday or Friday are doing a two page feature article on "Children of Hollywood" next week. The week of May 9th. Again, www.bn.com have the book on sale for a little over $20, another great discount. A good book for Mother's/Father's Day. "Joan Crawford: Her Life In Letters" will be released in June. This book is the first family authorized book since "Mommie Dearest." Joan's "other daughter, Cathy, authorized the book and Cathy's son (Joan's grandson) wrote the foreword. The book is told in Joan's words through some fifty years of letters written to her fans and friends. Lastly, the FIRST biography ever written on the fabulous Marjorie Main will be released toward the end of this year. Thanks all - Happy Reading!
