I like both of these actors but I am afraid to try to wrap my head around them being the romantic leads of a play which is "similar" to the Original Broadway Show.

I like the "Fun for Most Ages!" declaration, followed shortly thereafter by the +2 drink minimum.

And "kids under 5". They're guaranteed to love dinner theater.

"The only equity theatre in the gulf with its own tarpon cannery"!

It wasn't until the address at the bottom that I was certain this whole ad was a gag. Good job, internet!

May Robson's with her birthday cake.  Did the little "bird" house caught fire from the birthday candles?

Hmm...due to the use of a bird cage, I'd be more interested in whether or not there was some dark psychiatric play imposed upon her.

Or maybe she just liked bird cages?

OMG, Jim!!! These are wonderful!!!! Being an artist myself, I wonder if this guy can sell these without copyright infringement? I took a course once that in order to avoid copyright laws, you could paint or draw from several photographs.  These are wonderful.

As I'm sure you know CJ, Loretta was always especially good at playing the sexually repressed sort.

(...well, on-screen anyway) ;)

While that IS an interesting picture, the captions are not part of the original ad.  The font on the bottom is too modern, and legroom wouldn't be spelled with a hyphen.  This was circulating more than 10 years ago and a lot of people picked up on it as a real ad.  There's no ad agency in the world that would have let that go out in 1957.
