Fred McMurray as a young child.  He looks like a male Baby Peggy.

But you can see the adult MacMurray in the eyes and mouth here, especially with the turn-down sides of his mouth.

And here's one of MacMurray with facial hair:

Aaaah, look. Little Freddy MacMurray and his Mom...the lady who taught him to be the tightwad that he'd become.

(...hey, SOMEBODY taught him to never pick up the damn check SOMEWHERE along the line, now didn't THEY???!!!)

;)

Got to be a little tight to raise 3 sons. ;)

Grreat Ad. Especially if it was released following the release of "Anatomy of a Murder."

I don't know if the use of the term 'dated' is good in an ad.

I would have used days-of-the-week panties.

Also,  if a women happens to encounter  Bernard "Barney" Quill and something bad happens,  they can be used as evidence for when the crime occurred!

Maybe young girls back then were reactionary. Okay, fat chance.

Panties for obsessively organized of the post-war era.  The phrase that gets me: sporty enough to share?  Is sporty some type of euphemism for sexy, in the 40s?

Maybe "share" is the euphemism.

This pic makes me think of me and my best friend. We were called Mutt and Jeff by our teachers in school. We've known each other for so long that we don't notice the height difference anymore. (I'm the short one.)
