bhryun
I wouldn't mind seeing a looney tunes or two before or after a movie is shown - just like the old days in the theater, but that's about the extent of my interest. I have to admit, however, that I recently watched a Bugs Bunny movie (I can't remember the name, but it was a full lenght film) and just ****. Much better viewing at age 47 than 7. bhryun
Well I do like Cartoon Alley and I think it should be on every Saturday not just once a month, and I also wish they would show more loony tune cartoons to fill in time between movies, I don't really like the one reel shorts but then that's just my opinion. I would like to see a night maybe devoted to Loony Tunes movies, there were at least three that I can think of, that would be good.
path40a
Didn't want to start another thread when this one was available, but did want to say that (finally) I really enjoyed watching Cartoon Alley #21 which included the Academy Award nominated short Walky Talky Hawky (1946) featuring the debut of Foghorn Leghorn, The Goofy Gophers (1947), and Haredevil Hare (1948), starring Bugs Bunny and the Martian! Great stuff, finally some classic cartoons I actually remember seeing. I'm not sure why TCM doesn't feature more of these, I guess they figure the Cartoon Network et al show them enough. But I (for one?), really appreciated the inclusion of these last Saturday. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Cartoon Alley #21 is scheduled to show a second time (e.g. this month or next). xxmass
Hi all, Being a adult I still love a good cartoon. Warner Bros. were the best. These cartoons were'nt designed for children, but for adults. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and of course Elmer Fudd were the best. A lot of people compare Warner Bros cartoons to Disney. I do agree that Disney had some really fantastic films like Snow White, and Pinocchio just too name a few. But when it came down to really funny slapstick, it was Warner Bros. all the way.
