Most know about Alfred Hitchcock and his cool blonde leading ladies. But what about another 1950's director Hugo Haas?He had Beverly Michaels, Cleo Moore, Carol Morris and others in his "Bait", "Pickup", Thy Neighbor's Wife", "Girl on the Bridge", etal. Most involved a pitiful lonely old man being destroyed by a young blonde temptress.Would these low budget dramas be considered Film Noir?I don't believe TCM has shown many of these long forgotten Haas films. Or maybe I just missed seeing them , especially "Pickup" which is a gem of it's kind.
