FlyBackTransformer
I love Waxman's score to Billy Wilder's The Spirit of St. Louis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awez2AAfy0g

rosebette
The strangest coincidence -- I had WCRB Classical on today, and they played variations on Auld Lang Syne by Franz Waxman! One variation was in the style of Beethoven and one in the style of Mozart. Just goes to show that film composers were not just musical "hacks."My favorite score -- Rebecca. Terrence1
My vote would be for "Peyton Place." A great score. When I listen to parts of it, it's like hearing a symphony.
