JamesJazGuitar
I'm well aware of Garbo and her movie career. I just happen to think she is overrated. e.g. take that performance in Grand Hotel. Great acting or a camp performance? I say the later (but I fault the director for not controlling her).

johnbabe
i think you should find out about her personal life, and what she did during WW11 and then make your conclusions, she had a terrible childhood and was tormented for years about herself...she was far mor than just an actress. thank you very much! JamesJazGuitar
I'm typically not that interested in a movie star's personal life, but from the little I know about her I respect her. But that doesn't change my opinion of her as an actress. She did some very good work but I'm only a fan of a few of her movies. Of course I'm more into the Warner Brothers or RKO style of filmmaking instead of the over glamorous style of MGM.
