Heads up for The Night is Young

A small note for a charming little movie. If you didn't know differently, you might think it was directed by Ernst Lubiitsch. It's a typical romance of the commoner/nobility sort, but it overcomes its limitations with pretty dialog, delightful performances by a worthy cast (including Una Merkel and Charles Butterworth) and some nice songs, including one fine one: When I Grow Too Old to Dream, a beautifully wistful tune. It baffles me why it has not become a standard in the American Songbook. I know it's on late, but give it a try, or break down and buy that DVD recorder.
