Alerts

I'm new here so this is a question more than a problem. I can't figure out how to sign up for alerts advising me of when a particular movie will play. I did it once for 'Penny Serenade', but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it again. Any advice would be appreciated.

I believe the movie you request a reminder for has to be on the current 3-month schedule. Search for your film in the SEARCH bar under the VIDEOS tab at the top of your screen. When the next page pops up, look under Title Matches for your film - click on it. On the next page.. if it's scheduled for airing, the green bar below the title will have a Remind Me button at the far right end. That's your ticket. There will be no Remind Me for unscheduled films.

 

Sometimes the SEARCH feature goes wonky and you have to play with it. Mine keeps redirecting me to other websites. I have found that if you type the title, then move your mouse over the TCMDb ^ , a menu will drop.. then click TCMDb in the menu, not the heading - then click GO. That always works for me.

 

Still looking for the meaning of The Universe. I know it's on these Message Boards.. somewhere.

Thanks a million. That's very helpful. It would be helpful if they had the button for every film, but only lit up if the movie was the upcoming schedule.

I'd like it if the button were active for all items in the TCMDb. I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised 8 months from now with a notification telling me a favorite film of mine was playing next week.
