roverrocks
Tom Clancy has passed away. A very sad day. Superb author and storyteller. Some excellent movies resulted from his terrific novels. I am stunned by his death. Have always looked forward to his new exciting novels and to the movies that have come from them. A loss to both the movie world and the literary world. Condolences to his family and to his millions of fans that I am one of.
Sepiatone
I'm another one, rover. Clancy's books made for good movies for the same reasons Elmore Leonard's did. Well written, plot driven, and Clancy also had an insider's view of certain technicalities that other writer's of his genre lacked. You could read Clancy and almost believe it a true story, rather than a creative work of fiction. Big loss. Sepiatone

TheGrandMaster
I love Clancy. Jack Ryan was a big part of my youth. RIP.
