I have no doubt you're right! And she would have corrected any errors, too. She was a perfectionist who demanded that things be done precisely. And yes, I think she would have approved of the way TCM presented these films. I found myself appreciating her more with each phase of her career. I realized when it was all done yesterday, that she is one of the most accessible movie stars ever. She puts everything she has into her roles and she avoids false notes. I walked away from viewing these films with the knowledge that she was a proud woman who made sure that where she came from found its way on to the screen. She was representing a certain type of people and their experiences, and she gave us nothing short of excellence, even in the early films when she was still learning her craft.
