slaytonf
Was on a Bernard Herrmann kick recently. What got me started? Oh yes, the discussion about Nightmare Alley (Cyril Mockridge score), led me to think of other noirs, and On Dangerous Ground came to mind (the redemptive aspect of love made me associate?). Anyway, Herrmann's score was always a big part of the appeal of the movie for me. I've only found the suite he arranged: Same with Fahrenheit 451, another of my favorite Herrmann scores: And the full Obsession score seems to be available in parts: The whole Vertigo soundtrack is available: And Taxi Driver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-i9xowkJBc I imagine there are a lot of scores available from other composers. Geminigirl
Yes, there is quite a selection of film scores available there. I listen to the complete "Vertigo" score at least once a week. I even found Philippe Sarde's "Ghost Story" suite, which I didn't really expect to be uploaded (because it's not that popular), but it was! There is also a great selection of classic TV and made-for-television movie theme songs available. Isn't YouTube wonderful?
