flashback42
The question seems to refer to Night of the Hunter (1955). Anybody know where jellygirl0270 went?
Kid Dabb
That was Shelley Winters in Night of the Hunter. Maybe jelly got them cornfused - it happens. Interesting - Two for the See Saw: Paul Newman was originally slated to star opposite Elizabeth Taylor in the film. I can't even imagine that one. Emgee66
I knew somebody would guess this, but no. That movie was released before the assasination. I know there's been a lot of Kennedy speculation connected to this movie, but it's not the one. This movie was released late 1963; did very well crime story

Edythevanhopper
It's A Mad ,Mad, etc. World wasr scheduled for release in Nov '63. Is is that one??
Emgee66
Sorry, again no. crime is very central here, but with comic touches. So don't go the assasination or politics trail. that leads nowhere. A+++ lead actor and actress with solid supporting cast.
Kid Dabb
That's *Charade (1963)* Audrey Hepburn: "at any moment we could be assassinated," was dubbed over to become "at any moment we could be eliminated" due to the recent assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

In 1971 some scenes from this film were used in an episode of Rod Serling's Night Gallery television show.
