According to the Michael Feinstein segmant on Fred, Fred Astaire's name were the last words spoken by George Gershwin before he passed. That's quite a tribute to Fred. Those 2 imo were the greatest talents of their time. You're up, emgee.

Heidi (1968)

"In 2012, Jennifer Edwards, who as a little girl played Heidi in this TV movie, told an interviewer on National Public Radio's program "All Things Considered" that even though she was ten years old and a UK resident, she still got hate mail from angry American football fans who resented that her movie interrupted the television airing of the 1968 game between New York Jets vs. Oakland Raiders."

The game has gone down in history as the "Heidi Bowl"

Great bit of trivia!

Thanks. So interesting that wih all that going on, it's still a great film. Gloria was fantastic in it. Maybe the situation with Ray brought out all the emotion when she breaks it off with Bogart. (although I love her in all her films)At any rate love that film.

This actor was basically kicking around Hollywood in uncredited small roles in his eary career. He played an uncredited role in one of the world's most famous films. After that there was a support role although credited a little far from the top. 1 year later after the uncredited role, he became a major leading actor. Who and what was that famous film he had that uncredited role in ??

Correct, emgee. Alan Ladd was the reporter smoking in the end of *Citizen Kane* . He was uncredited. He became a leading man and star only 1 short year later with *Gun For Hire* . Very good, and it's your thread.
