Yes, Ava is one of the two. The other received her nomination at another studio. She got her start at MGM as a teenager.

I believe this film was to star Eleanor Parker while co-staring Ava Gardner and Lana Turner.

Kid, that's possible about Eleanor Parker, although I've never heard her name mentioned in relation to this proposed movie. I thought the storyline would center on these two. By the way, you did get the answer right!

Jean Seberg...The FBI, with the approval of then director Edgar Hoover and the knowledge of Pres. Nixon, hounded actress Jean Seberg for supporting minority groups and activist, including the Black Panthers. The FBI released a false story, published by a gossip columnist of the LA Times and by Newsweek Magazine, that the child she was carrying was fathered by a member of the Black Panthers. In 1970, Seberg went into premature labor and delivered a baby girl, weighing only four pounds, who died two days later. Many believe these contributed to her bouts of depression, eventually leading to her supposed suicide by overdose.

According to his biography, this actors pants were so tight that he couldn't up on his horse while filming this western. Somebody would lift him on the horse, then the camera would show him atop the horse.

Actor? Movie?

Nein...Neither of those two...This actor also said that since he didn't train on how to draw like his costars, , he would look at his holster ever ytime he draws his gun.

Not John Wayne...The actor also said that his hat brim was so wide he was afraid the wind will blow him backwards off his horse while he was riding with his bandits...

Not Bedoya, but a well-known supporting actor. The movie is an iconic western with multiple future superstars...The information is from his autobiography.

Robert Vaughn did write his autobiography, but he did not wear a wide-brimmed hat....The actor in question was also in another iconic western, in a bathtub scene...

Ha! Ha!...Of course it's Eli Wallach...in "The Magnificent Seven"...According to his autobiography, when they were shooting "The Magnificent Seven", his sombrero was so wide he was afraid he might be blown off his horse when it gallops...He also was not used to drawing from his holster like Steve McQueen who trained at this, so he had to look at his holster everytime he draws his gun. His pants were too tight someone had to help him get up on the saddle...

The other film was, of course, "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly"...

Your thread...

thanks, Luc-skipper. That was fun.

next:

Several stories have circulated about some of the various uncredited writers on this sci-fi classic. Ben Hecht and William Faulkner are often mentioned as possible contributors. Another rumor that is almost certainly untrue is that Orson Welles contributed some dialogue to the screenplay.

Thanks mr!

Three movies that involved the work of three different expert cinematographers that "stick out" as some of the best film-noir work ever done (in some opinions) starred the same actor in all three films

(pre 1960's)

Name the actor and films
