It's There

Recommended Posts

YouTube has become an unexpected gold mine for film music lovers. A lot of the hard stuff to get is there. On youtube I always be a lookin' an' last nite I be a findin'. :) I found two items of music I was looking for. Posted just two weeks ago, a suite of Dimitri Tiomkin's music including the main title from *The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell*. Some great music there from one of Coop's better later films. Certainly a lot better than say They Came to Cordura directed by the awful Robert Rossen. A far cry from The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell with strong solid direction by the dependable Otto Preminger. Also found, a piece of music I had been looking for for a while and it was a real delight to finally find it. Andre Previn's powerful opening title music (finally not drowned out by the streamliner) to *Bad Day at Black Rock*. Whatta find that is. Me a most happy film music aficionado. :)

I gotta say...your music choices here are a far cry better than the "Speedracer" stuff you were carrying on about ealier.

Caught Previn as a guest conductor to the DSO in the '70's. I must say, the Sebelius symphony #3 never sounded better!
