Carole Lombard and William Powell in My Man Godfrey (mentioned in the original post) is one of the comparatively rare cases of stars acting together after they've divorced.  (Acting together before you're divorced is, let's face it, not all that unusual...although sometimes it may accelerate the process.)

A few others that leap to mind:

Margaret Sullavan and Henry Fonda in The Moon's Our Home (1936) (they had divorced in 1933)

Colleen Dewhurst and George C. Scott in The Last Run (1971) (they had divorced in 1965, but then remarried in 1967; they divorced again in 1972)

Some others who only divorced after acting together:

Jean Simmons and Stewart Granger in Adam and Evelyne (1949), Young Bess (1953), and Footsteps in the Fog (1955) (m. 1950, div. 1960)

Rex Harrison and Lilli Palmer in The Rake's Progress (1945), The Long Dark Hall (1951), The Four Poster (1952), and Main Street to Broadway (1953) (m. 1943, div. 1957)

Rex Harrison and Rachel Roberts in  A Flea in Her Ear (1968) (m. 1962, div. 1971)

Arlene Dahl and Fernando Lamas in The Diamond Queen (1953) (m. 1954, div. 1960)

Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw in The Getaway (1972) (m. 1973, div. 1978)
