gagman66
TCM is debuting John Ford's long lost UPSTREAM (Fox, 1927). This is also an American Television premiere. Having previously aired on Arte TV France last year. The film is part of the Treasures From The New Zealand Film Archives which starts this week and conclude next week with the surviving reels of THE WHITE SHADOW (1924) which was Co-directed by a young Alfred Hitchcock. Starring Betty Compson and Clive Brook. The unearthed footage is very interesting. UPSTREAM is a delightful film and it is more or less complete. JonasEB
Wait, wait...are you saying TCM showed the whole film Upstream as part of the Lost and Found special??? Really??? I am not happy about this. My mom passed away in October so I've been distracted from watching much TCM but I would have tuned in had I known this film would be on. Why wasn't this promoted and shown on it's own? Ahhh, pease show this again in the near future TCM.
