FredCDobbs
Denzel Washinton made a retro-noir film about Los Angeles in 1995, titled DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS. The whole film had a mood in it that was similar to the mood in CHINATOWN. He pays a type of black detective in the early 1940s. It focuses mainly on him and his friends in the black community, having to deal with the white community and some white official corruption. This is an EXCELLENT film. A MODERN CLASSIC. TCM has shown it a couple of times and I love it. It should be shown more often.
