DJBeacon
Thanks lavenderblue. This character actor started out in movies and then moved to mainly TV shows. Usually in Westerns and as the bad guy / villain. Many times sporting a bushy mustache.

DJBeacon
OK, Miles: The comic hero 1940's movies were in the Dick Tracy series. And regarding TV shows, he was in 5 episodes each of "Cheyenne" and "Gunsmoke" and a whopping 38 episodes of "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp". That should do it. MilesArcher
It's Trevor Bardette, who played Old Man Clanton on the Wyatt Earp show. Initially, I thought of the Dick Tracy series, but in checking the cast lists on IMDB, I failed to look at the uncredited roles, so I missed his name. He was literally in hundreds of westerns both on the big screen and on TV. He didn't always have the mustache.
DJBeacon
Great job, Miles. You are right he didn't always have the bushy mustache. I chuckle seeing him with that telescope on the roof in "Dick Tracy". And he sure could play a mean arse SOB in a number of the Westerns. Ya gotta love these character actors who were in so many movies and TV shows and you recognize but don't know their names. Your thread.
MilesArcher
Here is a list of character names and nicknames from TV shows from the 50's and 60's. Many of them have been rerun for years on various retro channels so the names may be somewhat familiar. Can you name the actors and actresses who played those characters, as well as the names of the shows? 1. Ellen Miller 2. Jingles 3. Trixie Norton 4. Sock Miller 5. Schultzy 6. Kitten 7. Michael Anthony 8. Doberman 9. Lumpy Rutherford 10. Pepino 11. Edie Hart 12. Zelda Gilroy 13. Bunny Halper 14. Goober 15. Mel Cooley 16. Wishbone 17. Flint McCullough 18. Schnauser 19. Uncle Martin 20. Crazy Cat Ellen Miller and Sock Miller are unrelated. Schultzy is not the sergeant on "Hogan's Heroes". Wishbone is not a dog, and Crazy Cat is not a cat. Good luck! MilesArcher
That's Tony Martinez as Pepino. Everything else is correct. Here's Andy Devine with Guy Madison as Wild Bill Hickock: Some of those shows have been rerun over the years, but not all. It's amazing that we remember characters and shows from more than fifty or sixty years ago. Nice work everyone. Princess got the most so she gets to go next.

Princess of Tap
Mothers often advise their daughters that it's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man, as a poor man. Successful movie actresses who were among those making the transition to TV also knew that it's just as easy to marry a man who is talented in show business, than not. The following movie actresses who had hit series on classic TV we're successful where many other movie actresses had failed. Of course in addition to their own Talent, they were married to a man who had the ability to manage and present them in a winning manner. When you identify these double- talented married teams, also list the classicTV series they were associated with. 1) This Oscar & Emmy award winning actress first formed an international production company with her husband. He executive produced their movies. Later their company went domestic with a TV series starring her and executive produced by him. They had children. 2) This actress had worked in movies and radio when she went into a TV series with her Oscar award-winning husband. Her husband executive produced the show and sang occasionally on the show. They had children who occasionally appeared on the show. 3) This actress made the transition from movies to television under the umbrella of a TV production company headed by her husband. She had a TV series where she appeared occasionally, while numerous other actors performed in episodes which were not related. Her husband appeared occasionally also. They had children. 4) This actress appeared in movies and on radio before working in a TV series with her husband, who also was the executive producer. He occasionally sang on the show. They had children. 5) This Oscar and Emmy award-winning actress made the transition from movies into television in a series guided by her executive producer husband. She occasionally appeared in the series, along with numerous other actors who appeared in episodes which were not related. They had children. 6) This actress came late to Classic Hollywood movies, but made up for it working in a variety of classic TV shows. Her own TV series was directed and produced by her husband.
