MarshaKatz
Lavendar, First of all you're right about Ben Gazzara being the actor and the TV Series "Run For Your Life" I'm sorry if there was any confusion to my clues. I guess that sometimes too much information is just too much information. As in my original question, can you name the film (which was recently aired on TCM) and the name of the character which Ben Gazzara played in this film which he created in the original stage production. lavenderblue19
Thanks. I had a big crush on Ben when he starred in Run For Your Life next This actor appeared on stage, in films and tv. Known for comedy and probably best known to most as a regular in a popular '60's tv show and also as a regular on a very popular tv show. An iconic actress even wrote him a fan letter. Actor, the 2 tv shows and extra for the iconic actress who wrote that fan letter ????

Princess of Tap
Lav, good question! Paul was so talented. I don't know if he knew how good he was. In the ultra American post-war climate, very few TV shows featured foreigners. But this 60's TV sitcom starred a European woman, trying to be an Americam housewife. Do you remember it? And can you name the stars?

Princess of Tap
No, that's not what I'm thinking about. And you know I never thought of the Gabors as being foreigners because they were just every place. But you answered it; so, you've got it! lavenderblue19
Thanks Princess This actress appeared as a regular more than a few times during her career. Probably the 2 most famous shows she appeared on were in the 1960's. One in early to mid '60's the other late 60's to early '70's. They were both comedies. Actress and the 2 shows ??? Princess of Tap
Everybody loves "Baby" Rose Marie. Next: This child actress was a big TV star. She also appeared in two very big musicals, 1 in the 19 fifties and one in the 1960s. Her claim to fame on television was a TV performance associated with Kay Thompson that earned her an Emmy nomination. The young actress appeared on many TV shows, but she did not have her own TV series. Please name the actress and the TV vehicle that made her a star. MarshaKatz
Hi, Princess Could this child actress be Evelyn Rudie and the TV vehicle "Eloise"?
Princess of Tap
Marsha, you're a treasure! I honestly have not thought about Evelyn Rudie in fifty years. But I was trying to find a child star that wasn't too well known, little bit under the radar.Patty McCormack was the only person I could think of and then finally voilà--there she was. She was such a pretty little thing, wasn't she? Marsha, now it's your turn - -
MarshaKatz
You are too kind, Princess. I remember first watching Eloise on Playhouse 90 as a child and loving it and loving Evelyn Rudie. BTW Miss Rudie was Emmy nominated for her performance at the age of 6 the youngest actor ever to be nominated for an Emmy. One more thing I remember watching an episode of Groucho Marx "You Bet Your Life" and there was Evelyn Rudie as a contestant with another gentleman. I was thrilled to see her and during this episode she danced a waltz with her fellow contestant and told a joke in the German language. I never forgot that episode or Eloise. I was intrigued and found out that Evelyn Rudie has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame located at the corner of Hollywood and Highland. Miss Rudie is co-artistic director and playwright in residence of the Santa Monica Playhouse. Okay, here's my thread Two movies with the same theme of the wife of a famous doctor/physicist fears she will be dying and hopes her husband will be consoled by the orphan adopts. Evelyn Rudie was cast as the orphaned child in the remake of these two films. 1. Name the film remake in which Evelyn Rudie is cast as the orphaned child 2. Name the two leads in this film remake. 3. Name the original film and name the two leads in this film. Extra credit: Name the child actress who played the orphaned girl in the original film
