MarshaKatz
Thanks, Lavender. In an episode during Maverick's second season (1958), the ensemble cast includes recurring series characters involved in the consummate con of one of the town's leading citizens. Two lines of catchy dialogue are used throughout the episode. Please provide each piece of dialogue and the name of the character who utters the lines. In addition, please name this memorable Maverick episode.
MarshaKatz
Hint: One of the lines is spoken by a man sitting in a rocking chair whittling

DJBeacon
Great job, DJ - One of my favorite Maverick episodes. Your thread. Thanks. I agree this was an all-time favorite with so many characters returning for the complex "sting". I'm new here so not exactly sure how this goes but here goes: This actor was in many, many movies and TV shows (must be well over 100) but only played two TV characters with recurring appearances. DJBeacon
Sorry, I didn't do a good job with this one. Richard Deacon was also in the TV series "The Mothers-in-Laws" and "The Charles Farrell Show" I was thinking of Whit Bissell in the series "Peyton Place" and "The Time Tunnel". MilesArcher
They both recorded songs called "You Belong To Me". I saw The Duprees do this one live a few years ago: Here is Carly Simon's song: I much prefer The Duprees.
lavenderblue19
I agree Miles, much prefer the Duprees version. My older sister had that 45 a gazillion years ago and it brings back lots of great memories of slow dancing with boysfriends at parties to that song
