GregoryPeckfan
Thanks. Sticking with the "Columbo" theme, in one episode, it ends up one of Columbo's superiors was the killer, 1) Who played Columbo's superior in this episode? 2) How did Columbo trip him up? 1) Richard Kiley played his superior. 2) Columbo tripped him up by planting evidence in an apartment he rented for the purpose and changing the address of the man Kiley framed which was not his address. GregoryPeckfan
Thank-you. I am a major fan of Columbo. Next clue will deal with another TV detective: Which TV detective had to be in a wheelchair, and what was the name of the actor's other TV series? MilesArcher
Lavender and Princess, I've heard that as you get older, the memory is the second thing to go. I can't seem to recall what the first thing is. Anyway, Lavender got both Buckshot and Joker, so she gets the thread.
lavenderblue19
LOL MIles and Thanks In the '50's and 60's this actress of stage, film and tv, was a familiar face plugging products. She appeared on game shows and variety shows, one in particular and was in some films. Who was she and some of the products she plugged and the tv show she was seen frequently plugging products ???
lavenderblue19
the actress plugging products had to fly from the west to the east coast every week-end. She was part of a cast that was filming at the same time she was appearing on a tv show for her commercials.
lavenderblue19
the film was a comedy, the tv show was a variety show

lavenderblue19
The film that she was part of at the time she was also appearing on the famous Sunday night variety show had the lead actor singing the same song to different women only he would inject that women's name into the lyrics, when he sang that song to that woman. She was one of those women

Terrence1
Good question, Lavender. But since I don't know the products she endorsed, I'll let someone else answer this.
lavenderblue19
Thanks, if you know who the actress is and the tv show that's 2/3's of the question, and it will make it easier for someone to get the other 1/
Terrence1
Well, Lavender, since you've given me permission to give part of the answer, I'm thinking this is Julia Meade. She appeared in "Pillow Tall" as one of Rock Hudson's girllfriends. And I think she appeared on Ed Sullivan's Show in commercials.
lavenderblue19
Correct Terrence. Julia Meade "you are my inspiration, Marie" LOL, Julia was the one Rock takes to the Copa, but when he sees Doris dancing with Nick Adams, bye, bye Marie. Yes she did a spot on the Ed Sullivan Show called Dream Cars of the 1950's, for Lincoln and Mercury. Julia was filming Pillow Talk on the West Coast and had to fly back to the East Coast to do the spot on Sullivan's Show every week-end for months. Julia Meade was seen frequently on game shows and other shows in the 1950's and 1960's. Good work Terrence, your thread
