Thanks for the guess Marsha, but not Connie or Where the Boys Are. The film is part of a series that were popular at the time. A popular male singer and female singer were also  in those films. The actress that took Nancy's role was not known for singing and had a successful career in tv

Beach Blanket Bingo. The role was given to Linda Evans.

Yes Nancy Sinatra dropped out of Beach Blanket Bingo because there's a kidnapping in the plot. Frank Jr. had been kidnapped 2 years earlier. Linda Evans was given the role instead. DGF, the thread is yours

This famous woman and her somewhat less-famous husband had a show on the radio in which they discussed mostly show business doings and gossip. Who were they? Name of show?

Dorothy Kilgallen and her husband, actor Richard Kollmar, had a radio show in New York called "Breakfast With Dorothy And Dick".  I don't know if it was heard outside of the New York area.

It was. My mother listened to it in Philly. Kollmar was basically a producer, not an actor. Yours.

You must go to the library first thing in the morning, DGF.  Now, for those of you who remember "Art Linkletter's House Party", besides interviewing kids, Art conducted man on the street interviews. In the later years of the show, his son Jack helped conduct those interviews, but there was another interviewer, as well.  It was a woman who had been a popular singer.  Can you name her?

Well, that didn't take very long.  Yes, it was Helen O'Connell, who had been a singer for years with Jimmy Dorsey's orchestra.  Nice job, Lav.  You're next.

Thanks Miles :)

This actress appeared as a regular in 2 '50's tv comedies. She played a girlfriend. Both shows were on tv in the same year. A little different seeing the same actress appear as a girlfriend to 2 different men, in 2 different shows while both shows were aired the same season. Who was she and what were the 2 tv shows ???

Yes Hillary Brooke. She played Lou's neighbor and girlfriend in the 1952-1953 run of Abbott and Costello and she played Charles Farrell's girlfriend and neighbor from 1952-1955 of My Little Margie. She appeared in 3 of the Sherlock Holmes movies. She was a familiar face to classic movie fans and tv viewers. Good work Miles, your thread :)
