Terrence-- as Ricky Ricardo would say: muchas gracias!

Next-- sticking with character actor Will Wright--

On an episode of I Love Lucy Show, he told the Ricardos that he had to buy his wife a little drum because she loved Ricky Ricardo's Conga playing so much.

What character was Will Wright playing in this episode and why was this character important to the plot?

Will plays the locksmith, Mr. Walters, in the episode "The Handcuffs" who is called in to remove an old set of handcuffs that Lucy snaps on herself and Ricky since she wants to go out more with Ricky.  But there is no key so they finally call in Will to unlock the handcuffs.  Will says he and Abigail enjoyed hearing Ricky play "BabaLink" for their 40th anniversary at the Tipicanny nightclub.  Will doesn't get the cuffs off in time since he has to go home to Yonkers for the special keys but then is locked out of his own home so Ricky has to go on stage still cuffed to Lucy and sing "In Santiago, Chile" with Lucy's free arm helping out.

Will finally arrives and unlocks the cuffs so Ricky can finish the song with both of his hands free.

CLASSIC.

Well done!

I love the way that Desi picks Lucy up and puts her on the other side of the bed. Then he mutters something in Spanish about how much weight she's gained since they got married.LOL

DJ - - The Handcuffs is second season gold.

DJ is up to bat--

Howard Keel? In KISS ME KATE, KISMET and ?

DGF - You've named two of the movies in which Howard Keel starred in characters originated by Alfred Drake on the Broadway musical stage. The third lead character was not in a movie but on the London stage. Also, if you name the show and the character Keel played on stage, please also name the characters he portrayed in the films "Kiss Me Kate" and "Kismet" and the thread is yours.

Someone else can fill in the blanks and they can take the thread.

Alfred Drake had been the original Curly in "Oklahoma".  Howard Keel was John Raitt's understudy in "Carousel" in 1945, and "Oklahoma" was still running on Broadway.  Howard Keel had the distinction of playing the lead in both "Oklahoma" and "Carousel" on the same day.  Keel also starred in "Oklahoma" in London.  The other roles were Fred Graham or "Petruchio in "Kiss Me Kate", and Hajj in "Kismet".

Excellent job, Miles. Thanks for the additional info regarding Howard Keel performing the leads in "Oklahoma" and "Carousel" on the same day. The thread is yours.

Thanks.  I had heard some time ago that Howard Keel's real name was Harold Leek and he just reversed the spelling of his last name when he went into show business, but that story is not true.  His original name was Harold Keel.

Now, in the TV series "Tombstone Territory", the series is narrated by the local newspaper editor.  Who played the editor, and what was the name of the newspaper?  I believe that the newspaper still exists today.
