MilesArcher
Thanks to DGF, Lavender, and DJBeacon, we have them all except number 1. It's probably the oldest slogan here. it's for a car company and it goes back to the early 1950's. Any guesses?

DownGoesFrazier
Number 3 is correct. Number 9 is incorrect. I'm kicking myself. Of course it's Schlitz, not Miller.
lavenderblue19
Thanks Miles That Mad Men episode had Don (Jon Hamm) giving a presentation to Lucky Strike and coming up with "It's Toasted" as a slogan This 1950's anthology tv series starred an actor known for his speaking voice. He had appeared in different types of films, including a famous sci-fi and usually playing the heavy in noirs. In one famous noir starring a legendary actor and a legendary femme fatale type, he played a sadistic killer. Very different in this tv series and he is probably known best because of this highly successful tv series. Who he, the tv series ( extra for the sci-fi film and the noir film) ???? Princess of Tap
Marvin Miller starred week after week giving away a million dollars to the lucky recipient from a rich benefactor in the TV show called The Millionaire. He was the villain in Dead Reckoning with Humphrey Bogart and Lizabeth Scott.
Princess of Tap
John Beresford Tipton-- that was the Rich benefactor who obviously himself must have been a billionaire. LOL Edited October 9, 2016 by Princess of Tap
lavenderblue19
Yes Marvin Miller, the sci-fi film was Forbidden Planet ( he was the voice of Robby the Robot) he was known as a narrator and his voice was used dozens and dozens of times in films and tv shows. He was also cast as an Asian character many times. He played the pyscho sadistic killer in Dead Reckoning beating the bee-gee-bees out of Bogart all throughout the film. Decades TV ran The Millionaire marathon this week-end. I could use some of John Bersford Tipton's generosity right about now and I've been waiting for Michael Anthony (Marvin Miller) to show up at my door since I was a little girl Good work, your thread Princess

This English actor is not so well known but he's awfully good. He worked a lot at MGM in the Golden Era, but he's better known for his work in classic TV-- as a guest actor, but also as a series regular playing a ship steward. When you identify this actor, please also give the name of his TV series.
MilesArcher
Would that be James Fairfax? He played Cedric the steward on "The Gale Storm Show", which was also called "Oh Susanna". Earlier, he was a regular on "Ramar Of The Jungle" with Jon Hall. I couldn't find a clip from "Oh Susanna", but i did find this one from "Ramar Of The Jungle". James Fairfax played Charlie, who often literally had a monkey on his back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGeld2tl5vI
Princess of Tap
I can vividly recall being preschool and crazy about Cedric, who talked so funny on Gale Storm's show, Oh, Susanna. I've been crazy about that English accent ever since. Couple years back on ME TV, I saw James Fairfax on a a Wagon Train co-starring with Charles Laughton, of all people. That's what reminded me of this question. Miles, you and I and Lav are lost some place in the 50's. It doesn't look like we're going to ever get out.LOL Well Miles, as Rocky Jones would say, it's your turn to blast off--
MilesArcher
Thanks, Princess. A young actor, who was the adopted son of an Oscar winning actress, became a star for Walt Disney in several movies and TV shows in the fifties and sixties. In one film, he had to sport a Mohawk haircut. Who is he?

lavenderblue19
That was quick perfert answer Miles. Patty Duke made commercials for Remco in the late 1950's. She's adorable and looks just like a miniature version of her herself as an adult. Thanks for the clip, hope everyone looks at it.
