Help to find the title of a b&w movie

I'm looking for the title of an old film. Two women (sisters?) host a man in their home, they fight over him. The man runs away, later returns to town, asks directions, is told that the women have been dead for a long time, the house is ruined and he finds his tie in the house and relaizes it was true (it is not ?Return to Glennascaul? but the plot is very similar).
