filmbuff67
Hello, For movie magazine collectors: Can anyone please tell me whether there ever appeared stories (not ads) of the Bette Davis films 'Jezebel' (1938) and/or 'Mr. Skeffington' (1945), in either 'Movie Story' magazine, or the similar 'Screen Romances' magazine, at the time they were in theaters? I am guessing that a 'Jezebel' feature might have appeared in April or May 1938 issues, and a 'Mr. Skeffington' feature might have appeared in August or September 1945 issues. Generally speaking, is there any type of index on the Internet, for features that appeared in individual issues of these runs? Thank you, Brad
faceinthecrowd
I'd suggest Googling Movie Story Magazine. The first result you see may give you what you're seeking. Doing the same for Screen Romances may also help.
ThalbergFan
I have quite a few of the 'Movie Story' issues-- I will look in to them and reply if I can find either one...
filmbuff67
Hi, I don't believe that either 'Movie Story' or 'Screen Romances/Screen Stories' titles are included in the Media History Digital Library, the first 'Google' result...a vast database, for certain, which I had already checked before turning here. Really appreciate checking your 'Movie Story' issues, from those time frames...thanks!
