Blob time again- Robert Osborne request

Recommended Posts

the BLOB! twice in two weeks-- excellent!!

May I please request of Robert Osborne that he

mention Olin Howlin in his intro/outro this time?

He hasnt for several years. This

was Olin's last movie appearance in a career that

spanned forty years and almost two hundred movies:

Gone With the Wind, A Star is Born ('37 & '54),

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court,

Little Women '49 with Elizabeth Taylor, Paleface

with Bob Hope, I Walk Alone with Burt & Kirk,

Return of Dr.X with Bogart,Brother Rat with

Ronald Reagan, Stella Dallas with Stanwyck,

Them! etc etc etc etc. Check out his entry

on IMDB.

Just as Steve McQueen's career was beginning,

Olin's was ending. Isn't this all the perfect

material for one of Robert's excellent commentaries?

Please mention him tonight.

thanks!

love Olin Howlin, under either of his surname spellings.

Though he always had tiny parts in films mostly, he added immeasurably to the movies he was in, with a verisimilitude not unlike a Clem Bevans or Arthur Hunnicutt.

I'm glad to see he still has fans who appreciate his amazingly long career!
