HoldenIsHere
For those who like the Sherman brothers's songs, today TCM is airing the musical film HUCKLEBERRY FINN which features their songs.
TopBilled
Yes, I managed to catch the film yesterday. The music was certainly way above average and the gorgeous location scenery made this picture a must-see. My only criticism was that someone should have reigned Harvey Korman in a bit more. Too much scene-stealing on his part (the annoying type of scene-stealing), but despite that I enjoyed the proceedings. Glad TCM aired it.
HoldenIsHere
I enjoyed the movie and the songs especially "Cairio, Ay-Ro, Illinoiz." I also enjoyed Harvey Korman. I genuinely laughed out loud at some of his anctics. His feigned crying in this movie and elsewhere cracks me up. The part where Huck dresses as a girl to gain information about his whereabouts is one of my favorites from the book, and I think that this movie with Jeff East as Huck probably captured it better on film than any other I've seen.
