fxreyman
> Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark Actually the original title was: Raiders of the Lost Ark When Paramount placed all of the films into a gift set recently they tried to market the set by placing the name of the character in front of the film titles. Sort of what they have done with the Jack Ryan films.

BeverlyBuzzby
Under the Cherry Moon, oy what a stinker! You're right, it's so bad it's good lol. Barfly....wow....I just couldn't get past the whole Frank Stallone/tough guy bartender thing in that movie. Speaking of Faye Dunaway, how about "Mommie Dearest"? Pure dreck yes, but who can ever forget "TINA, BRING ME THE AXE!!!!" her performance was so over the top it was just hilarious.
speedracer5
Ooh! I forgot Mommie Dearest in my 1981 list. Boo! I just added that to my Netflix Instant Queue to watch again. That movie is hilarious and amazing. I don't think it's supposed to be though. Is it bad that I felt bad for Joan Crawford in that movie? I know we're supposed to sympathize with Christina Crawford; but most of the time she was so horrible, I felt bad for Joan. NO WIRE HANGERS, EVER! (I like to break this line out occasionally when I'm among people who would 'get it.')

BeverlyBuzzby
I too felt bad for Joan Crawford in that movie. I remember hearing a syndicated talk radio show in the mid 1990's, they did an interview with Christina Crawford. Wow, what a nut.
BeverlyBuzzby
Ooooh The Verdict! That scene where Paul Newman cracks Charlotte Rampling a good one in that lounge, one of my all time favorite scenes. Newman should have gotten the Oscar for that film, not 1986's The Color of Money, IMO. Edited by: BeverlyBuzzby on Feb 3, 2014 10:58 PM
speedracer5
It would have been really interesting to see what Joan Crawford would have done had she been alive when "Mommie Dearest" came out (both the book and the film). I smell a libel and/or slander suit. Although I don't blame Christina for not wanting to eat that raw steak that Joan served her. I wouldn't want to eat it either. Not without it being cooked medium well at least. SCRUB, CHRISTINA! SCRUB!
