BEWARE TCM & UNIVERSAL VAULT SERIES DVDs

Make certain the surface is perfectly clean, I've discovered even the smallest fingerprint can cause problem in reading the disc.

 

If this don't work, try them on a DVD player only. There should be some type of warranty, ask for a replacement if all else fails.

The Universal Vault DVDs are "MOD" (manufactured on demand) DVDs like the Warner Archive discs, and these typically are meant to be played on "play only" devices so they can't be copied. Some MOD discs actually say that on the packaging. They often won't play on laptops, either, although I've found some exceptions.

 

I'm not certain if the TCM Vault discs are the same, but this is normal and not a glitch.
