In spite of some of the constant complaining you read on these boards (I am not always happy with the programming decisions either) if TCM didn't exist there are a lot of these films that would never see the light of day. Would any other station step up to the plate and air these films? Would anyone else invest in creating a channel like TCM? I wouldn't count on it.
