classiccinemafan
Instead of showing Four Daughters (the one with Garfield in it) , they showed the sequel Four Wives(he's not in it). Look at the schedule for yourselfves if you give a darn. I was looking at it tonight off my DVR. No John Garfield.
clore
Great Garfield's ghost! Doesn't he appear via flashbacks? If CITIZEN KANE can be included for an Alan Ladd tribute, I guess that anything goes. LOVE IS A RACKET was included for a day of George Raft films in January 2013, but his scenes never made it to the release print.
classiccinemafan
Who puts together these film tributes anyway ?
mrroberts
I've never seen the sequel film, apparently Garfield appears only in a flashback to the *Four Daughters* film.
BingFan
Putting aside the presence or absence of John Garfield, the three movies in the FOUR DAUGHTERS series are all very enjoyable. Besides the original, which I believe was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, FOUR WIVES and FOUR MOTHERS are also quite good. The same cast from FOUR DAUGHTERS (including Garfield) also made DAUGHTERS COURAGEOUS, which, despite the similar title, concerned entirely different characters. It's a good picture, though -- well worth seeing, as are the other three.
