GORGEOUS WOMEN OF THE SILVER SCREEN

Recommended Posts

Elsa was such a delightfully quirky gal, I always enjoy seeing her in a film.

I'll second your point about Elsa.  Even when she is in a film for only a short time she adds that extra something to the scenes she is in.    I can name many examples such as The Bishop Wife, The Razor's Edge and Bell Book and Candle.

I say we start requesting some Elsa over here at TCM so I can watch some flicks from her that I haven't seen yet.

After today, Thanx to tcm, I nominate an actress I'd never heard of before: Irene Purcell. Very, very cute. That bathtub scene in Man In Possession, well...

Moran is indeed a looker.  She would have had a much bigger part in To Have and Have Not,  but once director Howard Hawks saw takes of Bogie and Bacall he reduced Moran's screen time.   Bad break for Moran.

photo #s four and five are not eva marie.

#4 is simone signoret; can't identify #5.

#5 looks to be Joan Fontaine.

(...with a little "beauty mark" painted on her chin for some reason)

I don't think it is Joan.   I know I have seen this women in a few movies but her name doesn't come to mind (yea,  so why did I even comment!).   If it comes to me I'll post it.

Thanks, I get mixed up sometimes & appears that I didn't double check. Once again, thanks for the correction. I would've realized it soon enough lol
