Stephan55
I was wondering how a thread started going on 4 years ago about George Brent's Derry Air could still be generating enough interest to keep popping-up. Curiosity finally got the best of me, and I took a look. Glad that I did. Don't know how it happened (I haven't read back far enough, yet) but somehow this thread has been hijacked by the subject of Donald Trump. One would think that he'd be thrilled with all the attention he's getting. I think that we should nominate Arturo for the post of Magnus Poet Laureate I am literally amazed at the prolificity of these little limericks. I'm being serious when I say, they need to be published, or at least be made available in a forum (or forums) to a much larger audience. These little timely gems should not be hoarded by us on this thread, or restricted to these boards. They need to be shared with the rest of a "thinking" America and the world.

In today's market, you could easily compile them, write up a quick preface, and e-publish using Amazon or some other site.

Actually the thread is much older than that. It started as George Brent's Rear End on the old boards. But the powers that be wouldnt bring the thread over here, so MorrisSteele started another one. So it's probably about 8 years or so total. We lost some great limericks and rear ends shots on that one. I think George would be pleased the focus is now on the BIGGER A-S-S!

Stephan55
haiku is good. But I prefer the simple lyrical rhyming of limericks. And as someone posted in another thread, they are as short as a "tweet" so even devoted Trump followers would be able to read and appreciate them. But a taste for haiku, like Sake, may grow on us with a little more exposure, so have at 'em, Sepia

He keeps supplying things that inspire me here, appalling though they may be. Thanks again.
