Edythevanhopper Posted April 21, 2014 The Maltese Falcon (31) statuette is used in Haunted Gold ?
Kid Dabb Posted April 21, 2014 Yes, Edythe. From today's Schedule Page, expand Haunted House and read Leonard Maltin's review. Now, by "the original Maltese Falcon" I presume he means the one used in the 1931 film - not sure if this was the same one used in 1941. Good work You can continue this thread or let it fade away - your choice.
Edythevanhopper Posted April 21, 2014 Not fade...it is always fun to learn on these boards. What characteristic do Gone with Wind and Rebecca have in common (aside from Mr O'Selznick) ??
Edythevanhopper Posted April 25, 2014 Hint: The common trait of these 2 films may apply to others but these 2 were especially well-known for a behind-the-scenes record of sorts...think leading lady ??
Edythevanhopper Posted May 2, 2014 This thread didn't seem to catch on. GWTW and Rebecca shared the distinction of having the most actresses screen test for the lead roles..many of them the same actresses for both.
