Thank you, Miles. That is one of my favorite segments of the movie.

Next.

The producers of a TV show offer the role of a supervillain to a very famous and respected actor from the Golden Era. The actor accepted the offer with one condition, but the producers found that demand unacceptable, so the role went to another veteran of stage and screen.

Please name the actor, role, TV show, and why he didn't get the role.

Spencer Tracy was offered the role of The Penguin in Batman, but only on the condition that he be allowed to kill Batman.

That's correct. The producers balked at the idea and cast Burgess Meredith instead.

Great job, Starlit, it's now your turn.

Good guess, but she's not the one.  This actress was considered by many people to be the most beautiful woman ever to appear in films.

Hedy Lamarr?

I'm surprised that no one has posted an answer yet.  It's easy enough to look up.  It was Jodie Foster.  Christopher Connelly, who had played Ryan O'Neal's brother on the soap "Peyton Place", played Moses Pray, the part that Ryan had played in the movie.

Yep, of course you are correct.  Thanks for answering, Miles!

Thanks.  Jodie Foster's brother was a regular on a TV series.  What was his name and what was the show?

Buddy Foster was on Mayberry, RFD as Mike Jones.

I always thought Jean Louis designed this dress because it came out of his house and because he had taken credit for dressing Marlene Dietrich, who had a similar type dress and had encouraged Marilyn to copy it for the presidential birthday ceremony.

However, with the recent controversy about the dress, it's come out that the original sketch design for Marilyn's dress came from the famous Bob Mackie. Mackie was just starting out in the business at this time and worked under the auspices of Jean Louis.

Mackie did the original sketch or design for the dress and Jean Louis completed the construction and paid for it. However, the dress was along the lines of the kind of work Louis had previously done.

So legally it was a Jean Louis designed dress, which is the answer you're looking for, because Bob Mackie has only been nominated for the Oscar three times. While Jean Louis won for "Solid Gold Cadillac".

What cartoon used Syncro-Vox to save time and money animating their show? The show ran from 1959-60 with 52 episodes.

(Syncro-Vox superimposed "live-action human lips over limited-motion animation or even motionless animation cels.")
