manderstoke
Well, once again Mr. Mason, who was born on the 15th of this month, is being ignored. It is depressing to watch lesser (much lesser) "talents" be honored and gushed over. Hollywood didn't know what to do with the original film antihero, and it still hasn't acknowledged his acting genius. Too bad that TCM appears to be of the same mind. The best TCM can do is play for the umpteenth time a movie in which his screentime totals 21 minutes. Yes, I am referring to North By Northwest, hardly a Mason movie. Kid Dabb
I could stand A Touch of Larceny. I like British comedies and I don't recall having seen this one.

He was brilliant, wasn't he, and had such a special quality. Not to mention that voice! I'd love to see him honored on TCM.

Mason has never been SOTM? If so, almost as significant an omission as Susan Hayward.
lzcutter
Mason has never been SOTM? If so, almost as significant an omission as Susan Hayward. James Mason was SOTM in Sept. 2003 and was featured in SUTS in 2009 and 2012: http://forums.tcm.com/index.php?/topic/48413-star-of-the-month-summer-under-the-stars-honorees/
mrroberts
I wonder if James Mason will appear on one of the Carson interviews, I think he did a few appearances.
manderstoke
Well, May is nearly over and TCM has still not honored James Mason, who was born on the 15th of this month. Was there ever an actor more classic than Mr. Mason? Perhaps Turner Classic Movies is misnamed.
