YOU'LL LIKE MY MOTHER (1972)

Has anyone seen this film?  It looks pretty interesting.  I think we can guess the title character is not going to be too sweet, given the genre.

I saw it once when it played on TV- it has some very suspenseful moments- I wish someone ( are you listening Warners Archive) would give it a decent dvd release

It was done at Universal, so a DVD release looks rather doubtful.

Maybe if TCM ever does an evening spotlight for Patty Duke, they can air THE MIRACLE WORKER and YOU'LL LIKE MY MOTHER. I would definitely like to see it.  There was a real-life murder at the mansion in Duluth, Minnesota where the film was made-- a few years later.

It all depends who owns the rights- as we sadly know most studios are not intereste in the their classic library ( which is often better than the crap that gets released these days)   TCM should screen it- either as a Patty Duke night or as part of a  woman in peril thriller festival.

I remember seeing this movie when it first came out.  I was reluctant, because it received a very negative review in the local newspaper.  I was pleasantly surprised to find it a very good, suspenseful thriller.  The entire cast was believable.

In regards to "YOU'LL LIKE MY MOTHER" I thought to mention Universal released it on VHS in 2000.   I bought the movie on tape from Amazon several years ago.  I've watched it twice.  Do not fear the mylar!  It may not be on DVD, but the tape is quite watchable.
