On this date 87 years ago, May 18, 1927, The World famous Grauman's Chinese Theater opened it's doors. The first film to be shown there was DeMille's "The King of Kings". The first foot prints of hands and feet were those of Norma Talmadge, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks Sr.

On this date 80 years ago, Dwayne Hickman  (Dobie Gillis) was born.  Where has the time gone?

And which of course means that Frank Faylen never followed through on his ongoing threat:

"I've gotta kill that boy! I've just GOTTA!!!"

;)

Happy he's still with us, unlike Maynard G. Krebbs (born in my hometown, New Rochelle). Happy Birthday, Dobie. Kudos, Zelda, for getting into the CA Senate.
