classicmoviefan09
I'm surprised that TCM has not aired any of the musical shorts that June Allyson appeared in during the late 1930s this month. It would have been nice to see June making her earliest screen appearances.
mickeyfender
Couldn't agree more. I actually suggested doing that very thing on the "Suggest a Movie" page, and listed various titles of shorts she made, not only for Vitaphone, but for Educational, as well. Who knows how these things work, but perhaps it was all too last-minute to get any of these going. Or perhaps the TCM programmers will surprise us yet. Let's hope so.
mickeyfender
So it looks like a golden opportunity was missed. Oh well, maybe next time.

Maybe I could find what producers saw in her during these early years since I don't see much I like in her later work.
musicalnovelty
The 1937 Vitaphone short UPS AND DOWNS starring Hal Leroy, and featuring June Allyson is scheduled to be shown on TCM on March 15, 2015 at 7:38 A.M. (eastern time).
