9.  Appeared on the TV game show Password Plus in 1979.  Peppard chain-smoked through out and voiced complaints on camera about NBC.   The first of his five shows was never aired and as a result Goodson-Todman banned him from ever appearing on any of their game shows again.

1 b-After his big tour of Hamlet,Barrymore was doing lectures on the subject in schools and universities:

Student to lecturer:Tell me Mr Barrymore, in your view did Ophelia ever sleep with Hamlet?

Barrymore to student,after much thought : '' Only in the Chicago company''.

6.  When reviewing Barrymore's silent movie career, The New York Times wrote, "No actor needs fewer titles."   They were referring to Barrymore's ability to convey the character's emotions without the audience relying on the title cards.

8.  According to Errol Flynn' s autobiography after Barrymore 's funeral Raoul Walsh and two others moved the body to Flynn's home.  Barrymore was propped up in a favorite chair waiting to greet Flynn when arrived home.

9 b- While recording a segment from Romeo and Juliet on May 19, 1942, Barrymore collapsed in the studio. He was rushed to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital where he died of cirrhosis of the liver complicated by kidney failure. After sixty years, John Barrymore had finally drunk himself to death.

10 He & Barbara Bain separated in the very early 80's waiting till 1993 to divorce officially-they were not living together then,There was rumours of his philandering and of her past infidelity.
