An Enemy of the People is a weird one that I have to watch. I just read a bit about it and found out that it barely had a release, because they had no idea what to do with it.

Same here;    Never heard of this McQueen film.     I would like to see McQueen playing this type of role \ character.

He would go back to doing westerns and action films for his last two efforts in 1980. Audiences weren't able to accept him as a serious dramatic actor, which is a shame.

I watch almost all of my movies with onDemand, so I haven't watched it yet. I started watching The Honeymoon Machine, though.

They really did work well together (though without the romantic relationship she shared with Wayne in their films together is also a treat.)

I don't like all of her films, but I just adore her. I like the way she always so graciously gave thanks to the people who helped or worked with her. Also, she is one of the few Golden Age actresses who did her own stunts.

Yes, she did do a lot of her own stunts, like Yvonne De Carlo also did.

In O'Hara's autobiography she has a lot of good things to say about working with John Payne, one of her frequent costars at 20th Century Fox. And those collaborations are quite good: TO THE SHORES OF TRIPOLI (1942); SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY (1946); and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (1947). After they both left Fox, they made another film together, at Paramount, an action film called TRIPOLI (1950).

With leading man Henry Fonda she made IMMORTAL SERGEANT (1943); SPENCER'S MOUNTAIN (1963); and THE RED PONY (1973).

Ever hear of that tv movie? It was same time as the WW2 epic mini series WIJDS OF WAR   Warner Bros museum when I was there had an entire room dedicated to David l. Wolper  Now, it's all BATMAN

some very elderly security guard that even knew Edward G. Robinson argued early WB's-(Now where KTLA News is, then moved to Burbank, where most of the studios are) argued they used scribbes in the early gangster flix, but told him Cagney wrote & in a docu they used real bullets, matter of fact he almost got shot during the gunfight as Rocky Sullivan, but had enough
