TCM and Other Sources for Classic Film

I am finding more and more great movies from the 30's on YouTube under "creative titling" to avoid corporate greed issues.

Yes, I noticed that as well. Like someone will post a Joan Blondell - Melvyn Douglas movie (GOOD GIRLS GO TO PARIS) but instead of the title, it will say 'Columbia screwball comedy' or '1939 screwball comedy.'

You never know what it will be until you click the 'play' button. I suppose the benefit is that the film is still there a year later and not taken down by the studio or copyright holder.

"One plus Two Bad Girlz"

and some other great creative titles....I did not realize that even Alice White has survived with the spelling!

Last night we watched TCM via SLING TV and...even with the Time Warner Extra $10 per month for supercharged internet, it still had streaming issues.  It goes into a 'repeat mode' where, basically, the same line gets replayed 3 or 4 times.

We gave up and returned to You Tube.

One channel has made us real Carole Lombard fans---I did not realize she had so many early movies that were fun to watch.

The quality of films on YouTube may not be too great either. It's hit-or-miss.
