Does anyone know if the scene with the elevator train just before a TCM movie starts is from a movie titled THE WINDOW. The movie is about a boy who witnesses a murder while on a fire escape looking into a window. It stars Bobby Driscoll as the boy, Barbara Hale, Arthur Kennedy, Paul Stewart and Ruth Roman. A "B" movie that is overlooked today but was a thriller in 1949.

Hi. I've seen that movie, and I am not sure. It's been about a year since I've seen it, but I don't think it is from that movie. There was another thread on these forums from not too long ago. It's under the Information Please section and it's titled: At Beginning of TCM movies... It should be on the 4th page. I don't know if that is the exact part you are looking for, but it gives more info.

Hi Mondo,

Thank you for your reply. Others have replied with the same answer. That it was the Paul Newman movie and not THE WINDOW. I did see the movie on TCM last January after waiting twenty years to see it again!
