Kay
I'm fairly certain the film is The Better 'Ole (1926) starring Syd Chaplin. It was shown for Memorial Day weekend, and again during the WWI spotlight in July. The horse suit sequence is hilarious.
gagman66
Yes it is definitely THE BETTER OLE' (1926) which is on DVD from Warner Archive Hilarious movie! Very underrated Silent comedy feature, but not at the time. It was a huge hit. And Doris Hill is the most adorable French Beer Maiden ever in this movie. It is THE BETTER OLE' as in Hole. Not 'ole as in Old. This refers to the trenches, shell holes, and Fox holes, during the war.
