View option oldest first available?

I'm a long-time, but infrequent user.  Have always found it a pain with threads shown in new-first, oldest-last sequence.  Had hoped the new board would offer the option of oldest-first, new-last, but still don't see it.  Am I overlooking it?

The option doesn't exist and there are no plans to add it in the near future - from what we have been told.

Suggestion...this is not perfect but click on the max page number on the right.  Example on The Post An Interesting Pic Thread, click on 12 (at time of this post) and simply hold the mouse button down on the scroll to quickly get to the OP. If you want to view from oldest to newest, just click on the next descending page number located at the bottom of page.
